Agnes Flameless Candle Warmer Lamp with Pleated Shade

The VoriHaus Candle Warmer Lamp melts a jar candle from above instead of lighting it. A pleated metal shade hangs from a curved wooden arm over a round base, and the bulb inside the shade warms the surface of the wax until the fragrance lifts, with no wick and no flame. It stands 12.2 inches tall on a base 8.3 inches across, and takes jar candles up to 3.9 inches tall.

Because the wax is warmed rather than burned, the candle gives up its scent without soot or smoke, and it is not consumed by a wick, so a jar lasts a good deal longer than it would lit. The shade throws a warm pool of light downward at the same time, so the lamp earns its place on a side table whether or not a candle sits under it. Two finishes are offered, white and black, chosen at checkout. The 25 watt bulb is included.

The shade and the wax both become hot in use. Set the lamp on a level, heat tolerant surface, keep it clear of curtains and paper, and let the jar cool before moving it. VoriHaus recommends switching the lamp off when you leave the room rather than leaving it running unattended. Wipe the base and the shade with a dry cloth once cool.
