Thisbe Mini Wood Table Lamp - Linen Tapered Shade on a Solid Wood Base, 8.3 x 6.7 Inches, In-Line Switch Bedside Accent Lamp

The VoriHaus Thisbe Mini Wood Table Lamp is small and broad rather than tall, 8.3 inches across and 6.7 inches high, which makes it a lamp for a crowded surface: a nightstand that already holds a book and a glass, a vanity, a narrow shelf. The proportions are the reason to buy it, because a full-height lamp on those surfaces simply does not fit.

The base and stem are solid wood with a natural finish, so the grain shows and no two are identical. The shade is textured linen in a tapered cone, which filters the light through the weave and softens it before it reaches the room. The round base is weighted against tipping, and a switch sits in-line on the cord, which runs 4.92 feet, long enough to reach behind a nightstand without an extension.

The lamp draws under 5W at 5V DC. Wood responds to heat and humidity, so VoriHaus recommends keeping it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators, standing it on a level surface, dusting the linen shade with a dry soft brush rather than a damp cloth, and wiping the wood dry. At this wattage it gives a low ambient glow rather than reading light, so pair it with a brighter source for close work.
