Edda Striped Woven Cotton Washable Bath Mat

The VoriHaus Striped Cotton Bath Mat is woven from 100 percent cotton in a dense, medium weight construction, with stripes running across the face and reinforced edges holding the perimeter. Cotton is a thirsty fiber, and a dense weave puts more of it in contact with wet feet, which is what makes a mat like this dependable at the job it is bought for. There is no pile to crush, so the surface stays flat underfoot and the stripe reads cleanly rather than blurring.

It comes in two colorways, navy and brown, both set against the natural ground of the weave. Neither is a loud color, so the mat reads as a quiet horizontal band on a tiled or wooden floor rather than as a feature in its own right. The stripe is woven in rather than printed on the surface, which means it will not wear off the face of the mat the way a surface print eventually does.

The mat is machine washable, and cotton takes washing well, which matters for something that spends its life damp. Wash it with like colors and dry it fully before it goes back down. Lay it flat on a dry floor and smooth it down before stepping on it, and keep it off polished surfaces where a loose mat can slide. It suits a bathroom floor, a spot beside the sink, or a laundry room where a cotton mat can be laundered along with everything else.
