Bryn Nordic Wood Wall Clock, Silent Quartz Movement

The VoriHaus Nordic Wall Clock sets a plain numeric dial behind a glass front in a turned wooden frame. The numerals are spaced and weighted to be read across a room rather than pared back to a minimal set of marks, and the hands are slim and tapered so they do not crowd the face. It comes in two sizes, 9.8 and 11.8 inches across, so it can sit over a desk or carry a kitchen wall on its own.

The movement is a silent quartz sweep rather than a stepping one, which means there is no tick to hear in a quiet kitchen or a bedroom. The frame is solid wood and the glass front keeps dust off the dial and the hands, which matters more on a clock than it sounds, since a dusty face is difficult to clean without removing the movement. Two frame tones are offered, chosen at checkout alongside the size. It runs on a single AA battery, which is not included.

Hang it from the fixing on the back, into a stud or a wall plug rated for the weight. Clean the glass with a dry cloth. A damp cloth will mark the timber and should be kept off the frame. VoriHaus recommends avoiding a wall that takes direct afternoon sun, which will lighten the wood over time and will do it unevenly where the frame is shaded by the dial.
