Kasper Marble Wall Sconce with Up and Down Light

The VoriHaus Kasper Marble Wall Sconce is a slim column of natural stone mounted vertically, open at both ends so the light leaves upward and downward and the column itself stays unlit in the middle. The two cones of light it throws onto the wall are the effect being bought here; the stone between them reads as a solid object rather than a lamp, and the veining in it is visible in daylight when the fixture is off.

The column is 2.8 inches in diameter and 12.6 inches tall and weighs 3.3 pounds. The light source is a built-in LED rated up to 40 watts. Because the stone is natural, the veining and tone vary from piece to piece, so the one that arrives will not match a photograph exactly. A single fixture suits a stretch of hallway or a stairwell; a pair either side of a bed or a doorway gives a symmetrical wash.

The fixture is hardwired and the LED is built in rather than a replaceable bulb. VoriHaus recommends having a qualified electrician make the connection, fixing into a stud or a rated wall plug rather than plasterboard alone, and confirming the fixture is rated for your household supply before installation. Natural stone is porous, so wipe it with a dry or barely damp soft cloth and avoid acidic or solvent cleaners.
