Rowan Stone-Look Quick Dry Absorbent Bath Mat

This VoriHaus Bath Mat is made for the wet strip of floor in front of a shower or a tub. The face carries a stone-inspired design, a mottled grey finish that reads like cut stone rather than a woven textile, and it takes water up on contact instead of letting it stand on the surface. A non-slip backing runs underneath, so the mat grips the floor rather than sliding across tile when it is stepped on.

One size is offered, 15.7 by 23.6 inches. That is a compact rectangle, sized for the space in front of a shower door, along the side of a tub, or at a bathroom vanity. Two colorways are available, dark gray and light gray. The same mat works outside the bathroom as well, in a kitchen in front of the sink or just inside an entry door where wet shoes land.

It dries quickly once the water has been drawn in, which is the point of a mat like this: the surface is ready again by the next time somebody steps out of the shower, instead of staying cold and wet all morning. It is easy to clean. Lay it flat on a dry floor and let it settle before stepping onto it, and lift it now and then so the floor underneath can dry out too.
