Blythe Cat Shape Plush Accent Rug, Anti Slip

The VoriHaus Cat Mat is an accent rug cut to the outline of a sitting cat, so the head, ears and curled tail form the edge of the rug rather than a print on a rectangle. The face is soft touch polyester in a 12 millimeter plush pile, dense enough to read as a small rug underfoot rather than a thin mat. The edges are overlocked, a stitched binding that keeps the pile from working loose along the outline.

Two sizes are made. The small is 19.7 by 31.5 inches, about the footprint of a door mat, and suits a bedside, a reading chair or the floor in front of a dresser. The large is 19.7 by 47.2 inches, long enough to run beside a bed or down a short stretch of hallway. The shape reads best with clear floor around it, so leave a margin rather than pushing it against a wall.

A dotted TPR backing covers the underside and grips a hard floor. The rug is machine washable, which matters on a shape that collects dust along its edges. Lay it flat on a dry floor before standing on it. On a plain floor the silhouette reads as a shape first and a cat second, which is what keeps it usable in a room full of adults.
