The VoriHaus Iris Mid-Century Glass Mushroom Touch Lamp is a bedside lamp that asks nothing of you in the dark. There is no cord switch to hunt for down the side of the mattress and no dial to find by feel — a touch anywhere on the lamp brings it up, and another takes it down again.

The form is the mushroom silhouette that has outlasted every revival it has been part of: a rounded cap over a slim stem, the whole thing in glass so the light does not simply sit on top of the lamp but moves through the body of it. In red, that changes the character of the light as well as the object — warm, saturated, closer to candlelight than to a bulb, which is exactly what a bedside lamp should be at the end of a day.
