The VoriHaus Oscar Knit Blend Throw Blanket is knitted rather than woven flat, and the stitch runs as a herringbone: short diagonal runs reversing direction in bands, so the surface catches light unevenly and reads as texture without any pattern being printed on it. The blend is soft to the hand and open enough to breathe, which is why it works in a warm room as well as a cold one. It is a light blanket that behaves like a heavier one.

Two sizes are made. Medium at 67 by 51 inches is a sofa throw, long enough to cover one person lying down and narrow enough not to trail on the floor when it is folded over an arm. Large at 86 by 51 inches runs the length of a bed as a foot of the bed layer, or covers two people on a couch. The narrow width in both is deliberate: a throw is not a bedspread.

It is machine washable. VoriHaus recommends a cool gentle cycle with a mild detergent, a low tumble or a flat dry, and reshaping it to size while damp, since a knit will stretch in whatever direction you hang it. Do not wring it out. Best draped over the back or the arm of a couch, or laid across the foot of a bed.
