The VoriHaus Diatomite Stone Sink Tray is a slim stone tray cut from diatomite, a porous mineral that draws water into its surface instead of letting it pool. Set a wet soap bar or a rinsed glass down on it and the water is pulled in and given back to the air, so the tray reads as dry again a short while later. It measures 11.81 by 3.94 inches, long and narrow, sized for the strip of counter directly behind a sink rather than the open run beside it.

One size, three colorways: white, grey and dark grey. Behind a bathroom sink it takes a soap bar, a toothbrush cup and a small bottle in a single line without crowding the faucet. Beside a kitchen sink the same shape works as a draining board for a couple of washed cups, or as a rest for dish soap and a sponge, catching the drips that would otherwise run across the counter.

Lay it flat so the whole underside meets the counter, and it stays put when you set a wet cup down on it. It arrives as one solid piece with nothing to assemble. Give it air on all sides rather than tucking it under an overhang, since the surface has to dry out again between uses.
